Texte : Jan Fabre descend dans le ‘trou du monde’. Comme un spéléologue, il va de plus en plus profond dans le ventre de l’existence à la recherche de ce qui ne fonctionne pas et découvre l’infi nie profondeur de ce trou béant.
Orgy of Tolerance montre le déclin de l’espèce humaine. D’une façon grotesque, Fabre met en scène des tableaux évoquant notre comportement consumériste au quotidien. Tout s’achète et se consomme dans notre société excessivement tolérante. C’est l’extase de la consommation ! Fondamentalement seuls, les personnages s’apprêtent à vivre un orgasme. Ils vont jouir ! Il faut jouir !

Le couteau avec lequel Fabre entame Orgy of Tolerance blesse et chatouille en même temps. Les sketches hilarants à la Monty Python retournent le couteau dans la plaie, dévoilent un dévoiement collectif et taclent avec beaucoup d’humour notre société. Un manifeste fort, physique et surréaliste face à un monde débridé.

Jan Fabre ridicules our excessively tolerant society in which everything is for sale. In an often grotesque manner he brings scenes from our habitual consumption behaviour onto the stage. A layered skit in true Monty Python style. An absurd wink at the world of excess.
